Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (box trucks, reefers) for local deliveries within Miami-Dade County
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Load/unload shipments using pallet jacks and hand trucks with proper lifting techniques
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Utilize GPS navigation for efficient route planning and time management
- Document delivery exceptions and obtain proper signatures
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Familiarity with Miami traffic patterns and delivery zones
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and operate basic warehouse equipment
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication abilities in English and Spanish (bilingual preferred)
- Smartphone proficiency for delivery tracking apps
