Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (box trucks, dry vans) for local deliveries within Detroit and surrounding counties
- Complete pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate delivery logs
- Load/unload cargo using proper techniques and equipment
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Communicate delivery status and traffic conditions to dispatch
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and operate manual transmission
- Pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
- Strong knowledge of Detroit metro area and Michigan highways
- Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends
- Basic smartphone proficiency for electronic logging
