Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport goods within Columbus metropolitan area
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation in compliance with DOT regulations
- Inspect vehicles before/after trips to ensure mechanical safety and operational readiness
- Load/unload cargo with proper handling techniques and equipment
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Adapt routes efficiently to meet delivery deadlines and traffic conditions
- Report maintenance issues and follow preventative maintenance protocols
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 1 year verifiable commercial driving experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and pre-employment drug screening
- Strong knowledge of Columbus area roadways and traffic patterns
- Basic mechanical knowledge for vehicle inspections
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
