Responsibilities
- Operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport freight safely and efficiently
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Coordinate with dispatch team for optimal route planning and on-time deliveries
- Load/unload cargo using appropriate equipment (pallet jacks, dollies)
- Complete delivery documentation and verify cargo integrity
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with Los Angeles/Long Beach port operations
- Basic knowledge of cargo securement and hazmat awareness
- Strong navigation skills with GPS technology
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
- Excellent time management and communication skills
