Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport goods across Virginia Beach and surrounding areas
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and ensure compliance with DOT regulations
- Load/unload shipments with precision and care using appropriate equipment
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and defensive driving practices
- Assist in route optimization to meet delivery schedules
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 1 year verifiable commercial driving experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
- Strong knowledge of Virginia Beach roadways and regional logistics
- DOT medical certification current
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work flexible schedules including early mornings/weekends
