Responsibilities
- Transport goods safely and efficiently to designated delivery points in Oakland and surrounding areas.
- Inspect commercial vehicles for mechanical issues and report maintenance needs immediately.
- Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment, ensuring proper handling.
- Maintain accurate logs of mileage, fuel, and delivery records.
- Provide excellent customer service and professional handling of packages.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies.
- Ensure the vehicle's interior and exterior are kept clean and organized.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B CDL required.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations within the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and occasional overtime.
