Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (box trucks, straight trucks) for local deliveries within NYC metro area
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic tracking systems
- Inspect vehicles pre/post-trip and report maintenance needs promptly
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading/unloading operations
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and NYC traffic laws
- Coordinate with dispatch team for efficient route optimization
- Secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transit
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with NYC boroughs and traffic patterns
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
- Strong time-management and communication skills
- Basic knowledge of electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Flexible availability including weekend shifts
