Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for long-haul and regional routes
- Transport goods across Texas and the Southeastern US while adhering to DOT regulations
- Complete daily pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate mileage logs
- Coordinate with dispatch for efficient loading/unloading and route optimization
- Utilize electronic logging devices (ELD) for compliance and real-time tracking
- Represent the company professionally with exceptional customer service
- Participate in ongoing safety training and equipment maintenance programs
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with HOS regulations and ELD compliance
- Strong navigation skills and knowledge of Texas highway systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and sit for extended periods
- Reliable transportation to Houston terminal location
- Willingness to work flexible schedules including overnight trips
