Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (26,000+ GVW) to deliver freight on time and in perfect condition
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain accurate maintenance logs
- Optimize delivery routes using GPS technology while adhering to traffic regulations
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions and resolve issues promptly
- Load/unload freight with proper equipment and secure loads per DOT standards
- Document delivery status, exceptions, and mileage in electronic logging systems
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience with verifiable references
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and operate loading equipment
- Strong knowledge of Seattle metro area and Washington State highways
- DOT medical certification and current TWIC card (if applicable)
- Proficiency with electronic logging devices and route navigation software
