Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles safely and efficiently to deliver freight to designated locations on time.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with FMCSA safety regulations.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, ensuring proper securing of loads to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate driver's logs (DVIR) and ensure all paperwork is completed accurately and on time.
- Interact professionally with customers, shippers, and warehouse personnel to ensure satisfaction.
- Keep the vehicle clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies regarding driving conduct.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B (depending on vehicle type) required.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) and DOT medical card.
- Clean driving record with no major violations in the last 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform manual dexterity tasks.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
