Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A vehicles to transport freight across local and regional routes.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections according to DOT and FMCSA regulations.
- Load and unload cargo accurately and securely using standard loading equipment.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and all required documentation.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, traffic signals, and right-of-way rules at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and potential delays.
- Keep the vehicle interior and exterior clean and well-maintained.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record (no DUI/DWI within the last 7 years).
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of DOT and FMCSA compliance regulations.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed during loading/unloading.
