Responsibilities
- Operate Class A Commercial Motor Vehicles (CMVs) in a safe and efficient manner across the Seattle metropolitan area.
- Load and unload freight, ensuring cargo security and proper handling of hazardous materials if required.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic logging device (ELD) records.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly with dispatch and customers at delivery locations.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies regarding driving standards.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable Class A driving experience preferred.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT physical).
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of local Seattle roadways and geography.
- Basic mechanical skills to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues.
- Professional demeanor and strong work ethic.
