Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks (24-26 ft) for local deliveries and pickups within Fort Wayne metro area
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and paperwork for all shipments
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle compliance
- Communicate proactively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Load/unload freight using provided equipment (pallet jacks, ramps)
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Represent Fort Wayne Logistics Solutions with professional conduct at all client sites
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL with air brake endorsement required
- Minimum 2 years box truck or similar commercial driving experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and operate loading equipment
- Smartphone with GPS and reliable communication
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor troubleshooting
- Strong time management and customer service skills
- Proof of commercial auto insurance ($1M liability)
