Responsibilities
- Safely operate a box truck (10-26 ft) for local and regional deliveries in the Greater Los Angeles area
- Manage loading/unloading operations with precision and care for fragile or high-value cargo
- Maintain accurate delivery records and GPS tracking for all shipments
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Perform pre-trip inspections and basic vehicle maintenance
- Optimize routes to ensure timely deliveries while adhering to traffic regulations
- Communicate effectively with dispatch team and clients regarding delivery status
Qualifications
- Valid Class C driver's license with clean driving record (3+ years)
- Commercial insurance coverage ($1M liability minimum)
- Own a well-maintained box truck (10-26 ft) with DOT-compliant equipment
- Proven experience in local freight delivery or logistics
- Strong knowledge of Los Angeles metropolitan area geography
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly during loading/unloading
- Basic smartphone proficiency for GPS and communication apps
- Reliable availability for 3-5 days per week (flexible scheduling)
