Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to and from school on designated routes
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Manage student behavior with positive reinforcement techniques
- Maintain accurate attendance and route documentation
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws and safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and transportation supervisors
- Respond to emergencies and student needs during transit
Qualifications
- Valid Florida Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B with Passenger endorsement (or willingness to obtain through training)
- Clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in past 3 years)
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist students with mobility needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience and ability to work with diverse age groups
- Commitment to safety and reliability
