Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to and from school and extracurricular activities
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Maintain accurate attendance and route documentation
- Enforce safety protocols and student conduct policies
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Respond to emergencies and ensure student well-being
- Adhere to all federal/state transportation regulations
Qualifications
- Valid Ohio Driver's License (Class D)
- Clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Ability to obtain CDL within 90 days of hire (training provided)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience and ability to work with children
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and climb bus stairs
- High school diploma or equivalent
