Responsibilities
- Safely Transport: Operate school buses to transport students to and from school, activities, and field trips in a timely and secure manner.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus to ensure the vehicle is in safe operating condition.
- Student Safety: Assist students in boarding and exiting the bus, ensuring they remain seated and follow safety protocols at all times.
- Route Adherence: Follow assigned routes and schedules strictly, ensuring punctuality and efficiency.
- Professionalism: Maintain a clean, orderly bus environment and demonstrate a friendly, professional demeanor to students and parents.
Qualifications
- CDL License: Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger and School Bus endorsements is preferred, but we provide paid training for candidates with a clean driving record and a desire to learn.
- Clean Record: Must possess a clean driving record with no major traffic violations within the last 3 years.
- Background Check: Must pass a comprehensive background check, drug screening, and physical examination.
- Communication: Strong communication skills and the ability to interact positively with children and school staff.
- Reliability: Dependable and punctual with the ability to work early mornings and late afternoons.
