Responsibilities
- Operate commercial tractor-trailers over long distances (OTR) to deliver freight safely and on time.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records, including Electronic Logging Device (ELD) logs and delivery receipts.
- Adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company policies.
- Provide excellent customer service to shippers and receivers while managing cargo.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding delivery schedules and potential delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- 21 years of age or older.
- Current DOT Medical Card.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Strong commitment to safety and defensive driving techniques.
- Willingness to undergo paid training and orientation.
