Responsibilities
- Operate dump trucks safely and efficiently on various job sites across Durham and surrounding areas.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Secure loads properly to prevent damage and ensure driver safety.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and site supervisors regarding load status and location.
- Maintain a clean driving record and adhere strictly to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
- Must have a clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years).
- Must be willing to undergo a paid training program and background check.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions and terrains.
