Responsibilities
- Operate heavy dump trucks safely and efficiently on various job sites, including construction, agriculture, and mining sectors.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload materials (soil, rock, gravel) using forklifts, loaders, or manual labor methods.
- Maintain accurate daily logbooks and all required DOT paperwork in compliance with regulations.
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws and company safety protocols at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and site supervisors regarding load status and delivery times.
- Assist with basic vehicle maintenance and cleanliness to ensure fleet readiness.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Willingness to undergo paid on-the-job training for specific heavy equipment operation.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Physical ability to lift heavy loads, climb in and out of the cab, and work in various weather conditions.
- Reliable transportation to and from the company terminal.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
