Responsibilities
- Safe Operation: Safely operate heavy dump trucks to transport materials, debris, and aggregates to designated dump sites.
- Maintenance: Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in optimal working condition and compliant with safety regulations.
- Load Management: Secure loads properly and monitor load levels to ensure stability and safety during transit.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and delivery receipts as required by law.
- Communication: Maintain clear communication with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
Qualifications
- Driver's License: Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B with appropriate endorsements.
- Training Eligibility: Must be willing to undergo and complete our paid training program to obtain necessary certifications.
- Experience: Prior experience in heavy equipment operation or commercial driving is preferred but not required for our paid training program.
- Physical Fitness: Must be physically able to lift heavy materials, climb in and out of the cab, and sit for extended periods.
- Background Check: Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to read maps and GPS devices.
