Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial tractor-trailers over long distances (OTR) while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Manage time effectively to ensure timely pickup and delivery of freight while meeting company performance metrics.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and complete all necessary paperwork for DOT compliance.
- Inspect the vehicle for mechanical issues and report any maintenance needs immediately.
- Interact professionally with dispatch, customers, and dock personnel to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is road-ready and secure.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
- Willingness to undergo and successfully complete paid training program.
