Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles over designated routes in Columbus and surrounding areas.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, ensuring proper weight distribution.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and mileage logs.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and issues.
- Keep the cab and cargo area clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- U.S. Citizenship or valid legal work authorization (no sponsorship available).
- Strong commitment to safety and time management skills.
- Previous driving experience is a plus, but paid training is available for qualified candidates.
- Ability to lift and move packages up to 50 lbs occasionally.
