Responsibilities
- Operate box trucks (26' box trucks) for local and regional deliveries within New Jersey and surrounding areas.
- Load and unload freight safely and efficiently using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
- Maintain accurate daily logs, delivery receipts, and all necessary paperwork.
- Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness.
- Ensure exceptional customer service during every stop, including proper handling of cargo.
- Adhere to all federal and state DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company policies.
- Report any mechanical issues or safety concerns immediately to dispatch.
Qualifications
- Must own or lease a qualifying box truck with valid registration and insurance.
- Must possess a valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
- Must have a clean driving record (no more than 3 points) and a satisfactory MVR.
- Ability to pass a background check and a drug screen (DOT compliant).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
- Willingness to undergo our comprehensive paid training program.
- Basic computer literacy for logging and paperwork.
