Responsibilities
- Safely load and unload cargo onto the box truck, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement.
- Navigate efficiently to delivery and pickup locations using GPS and map applications.
- Inspect the vehicle before each trip to ensure it is in safe operating condition.
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance of the truck and cargo area.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal DOT regulations and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and status updates.
- Handle all necessary paperwork, including bills of lading and delivery receipts, accurately and promptly.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is preferred.
- Clean driving record with no more than 3 moving violations in the past 3 years.
- Must own a reliable, well-maintained 26-foot Box Truck.
- Current DOT medical card and insurance coverage.
- Strong time management skills and ability to work independently.
- Basic knowledge of cargo securement and safety regulations.
- Ability to lift and carry boxes weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
