Responsibilities
- Safely operate dump trucks to transport construction materials, dirt, and debris across job sites
- Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections and perform minor maintenance checks
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and compliance documentation
- Coordinate with dispatch teams and site supervisors for efficient operations
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and DOT regulations at all times
- Load/unload materials using proper techniques and equipment
- Manage route planning to optimize delivery timelines
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years of dump truck or heavy equipment experience
- Clean driving record with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with local Durham/NC routes and construction sites
- Basic mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting common issues
- Strong communication skills and teamwork orientation
