Responsibilities
- Operate commercial tractor-trailer units in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all FMCSA regulations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing cargo according to DOT guidelines.
- Maintain accurate Electronic Logging Device (ELD) logs and maintain current logs of all deliveries.
- Provide exceptional customer service to brokers and receivers, resolving issues professionally and promptly.
- Navigate efficiently using GPS systems and map resources to meet strict delivery schedules.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record (no more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years).
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable OTR driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and drug screen.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols, cargo securement, and traffic laws.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Must possess a valid Medical Examiner’s Certificate (MEC).
