Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to and from school, field trips, and extracurricular activities
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Maintain strict adherence to traffic laws and safety protocols
- Supervise students during transit to ensure orderly and respectful behavior
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and transportation coordinators
- Complete accurate daily trip logs and incident reports
- Provide first aid assistance in emergency situations
- Participate in ongoing safety training and professional development
Qualifications
- Valid California Driver's License (Class C)
- Ability to obtain Commercial Driver's License (Class B) with P endorsement (training provided)
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Clear criminal background check and fingerprint clearance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work early mornings/afternoons and occasional weekends
- Patience and ability to manage student behavior calmly
- Basic first aid/CPR certification (training available)
