Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses on designated routes
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections
- Manage student behavior and enforce safety protocols
- Maintain accurate route schedules and attendance records
- Communicate effectively with parents and school staff
- Respond to emergencies following district procedures
- Complete required training and certification updates
Qualifications
- Valid Pennsylvania driver's license (or ability to obtain)
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Ability to obtain Class B CDL with P endorsement
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience and ability to work with children
- Physical ability to assist students with mobility needs
- No prior experience required – training provided
