Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles for long-haul transportation across designated routes
- Adhere to all DOT regulations, safety protocols, and delivery schedules
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and documentation
- Maintain accurate logs and delivery records using electronic logging systems
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding shipment status
- Secure and unload cargo with proper handling techniques
- Participate in ongoing safety training and equipment maintenance
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record (minimum 2 years)
- Ability to obtain CDL Class A license (training provided)
- Willingness to pass background check and drug screening
- Ability to sit for extended periods and handle physical demands of loading/unloading
- Strong work ethic and commitment to safety and punctuality
- Basic math skills for weight distribution and load planning
- Willingness to travel overnight and work flexible schedules
- No prior commercial driving experience required
