Responsibilities
- Safely transport goods and merchandise from the warehouse to the designated customer location within the Tucson metro area.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the box truck to ensure the vehicle is in safe operating condition.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring items are protected from damage during transit.
- Maintain accurate logs and records of delivery times, mileage, and cargo status.
- Provide professional customer service during loading and unloading interactions.
- Keep the truck clean and well-maintained at all times.
- Comply with all local, state, and federal traffic laws and regulations.
Qualifications
- Driver's License: Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or valid Class C license for smaller box trucks (10-26 ft).
- Experience: No prior driving experience required for new applicants; a clean driving record is preferred.
- Vehicle: Own a clean, reliable box truck suitable for cargo hauling.
- Insurance: Proof of current commercial auto insurance coverage.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with clients and dispatch.
- Availability: Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Residency: Must reside in or near Tucson, AZ.
