Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial trucks for overnight freight transport
- Perform rigorous pre/post-trip inspections and maintain electronic logs
- Adhere to HOS regulations and DOT compliance protocols
- Coordinate with dispatch for efficient route optimization and on-time deliveries
- Secure and verify cargo documentation at each transfer point
- Respond proactively to route changes and weather conditions
- Maintain clean driving record with zero preventable incidents
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with minimum 2 years verifiable experience
- Current DOT medical certification
- Clean MVR (no major violations in 3 years)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and operate loading equipment
- Proficiency with electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Flexibility for variable overnight schedules (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Pass comprehensive background and drug screening
- Familiarity with Ohio highway network and regional routes
