Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks to transport goods across Greater Boston and New England
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate DOT compliance logs
- Optimize routes using GPS technology to meet tight overnight delivery deadlines
- Securely load/unload cargo with proper handling protocols
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams and clients regarding delivery status
- Adhere strictly to FMCSA regulations and company safety standards
- Document all transit activities and incidents using digital reporting systems
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean 3-year driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Proven night shift driving experience preferred
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Strong knowledge of Boston metro area roadways and infrastructure
- Expertise in securing cargo and weight distribution
- Proficiency with electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Exceptional time management and problem-solving abilities
