Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers for overnight deliveries across Indiana and Illinois routes
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate DOT logs
- Secure and verify cargo integrity throughout transit
- Adhere strictly to FMCSA regulations and safety protocols
- Collaborate with dispatch team for efficient route optimization
- Perform basic preventative maintenance checks
- Communicate delivery status and delays proactively
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean MVR (3+ years driving experience)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and climb equipment safely
- Flexibility for overnight shifts (6 PM - 6 AM) with weekend rotation
- Proficiency with electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Knowledge of hazardous materials handling (HazMat endorsement preferred)
- Strong navigation skills with GPS technology
- Zero-tolerance policy for substance violations
