Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks to transport goods across Washington DC metropolitan area
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Coordinate loading/unloading operations at distribution centers and client sites
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations and local traffic ordinances
- Utilize GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning
- Communicate with dispatch team regarding delivery status and route changes
- Maintain clean driving record and ensure cargo security at all times
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks
- Knowledge of Washington DC metro area roadways and traffic patterns
- Pass federal background check and drug screening
- Flexibility to work overnight shifts (10:00 PM - 6:00 AM)
- Basic computer literacy for electronic logging device (ELD) operation
