Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks for night shift deliveries across the Houston metroplex
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic logging system (ELD) compliance
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs
- Coordinate with dispatch for real-time route adjustments and delivery confirmations
- Ensure temperature-controlled cargo integrity for specialized freight
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Assist with loading/unloading when required at client facilities
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to work independently during overnight hours (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Strong knowledge of Houston-area highways and delivery zones
- Pass DOT physical examination and drug screening
- Experience with refrigerated/hazardous materials preferred
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Excellent time management and communication abilities
