Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A) safely and efficiently on assigned night routes.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections (DVIR) to ensure compliance.
- Load and secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Monitor and maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, FMCSA regulations, and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the cab and cargo area.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable truck driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Must be available to work night shifts (typically 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Willingness to travel to various locations, including Virginia and surrounding states.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
