Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for long-haul routes across Michigan and neighboring states
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations and conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections
- Load/unload freight with precision using pallet jacks and forklifts
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic logging system (ELD) compliance
- Coordinate with dispatch team for real-time route adjustments and delivery confirmations
- Ensure temperature-controlled cargo integrity for refrigerated freight
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no DUIs in past 5 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs repeatedly during loading/unloading
- Proficient with ELD systems and GPS navigation
- Flexibility to work overnight shifts (10 PM - 6 AM) with variable schedules
- Pass background check and drug screening per FMCSA standards
- Knowledge of Michigan highway regulations and winter driving protocols
