Responsibilities
- Operate heavy-duty trucks and commercial vehicles safely and efficiently during night hours.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts or hand trucks, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing cargo.
- Verify delivery documents and obtain necessary signatures upon arrival.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and compliance.
- Navigate complex routes and adhere to traffic laws and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delays or issues.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B required.
- Minimum of 2 years of driving experience preferred.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no serious traffic violations.
- Ability to work flexible night shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and DOT compliance.
- Basic mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting minor vehicle issues.
