Responsibilities
- Operate Class A Commercial Motor Vehicles (CMVs) for overnight regional and local delivery routes.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and vehicle readiness.
- Load and unload cargo safely using appropriate equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks) as needed.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and adhere to all FMCSA regulations and company policies.
- Provide exceptional customer service while interfacing with clients at delivery points.
- Ensure the security of cargo and the safety of the driving environment throughout the shift.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of California roadways, traffic laws, and navigation tools.
- Must be willing to work rotating night shifts, including holidays and weekends.
- Basic mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues.
