Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks to transport goods between warehouses, distribution centers, and client locations
- Perform pre-trip inspections and routine vehicle maintenance checks
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic logging system compliance
- Coordinate with dispatch team for efficient route planning and delivery scheduling
- Handle specialized freight requiring temperature control or hazardous materials training
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery and pickup operations
- Adhere strictly to FMCSA regulations and company safety protocols
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of over-the-road trucking experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Proficient in using GPS navigation and electronic logging devices
- Availability to work overnight shifts (10 PM - 6 AM) with flexible weekends
- Pass background check and drug screening as per DOT regulations
- Familiarity with NYC traffic patterns and delivery restrictions
- Hazmat certification preferred
