Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks to transport goods across NYC metropolitan area
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules and optimize routes for efficiency
- Conduct thorough pre-trip/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate logs
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Assist with loading/unloading operations when required
- Proactively report mechanical issues and maintenance needs
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to navigate complex urban environments independently
- Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs and climb equipment
- Flexibility to work variable night shifts (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Pass DOT physical and random drug screenings
- Familiarity with NYC traffic patterns and parking regulations
