Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and commercial motor vehicles in accordance with all federal and state regulations.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, documenting any issues immediately.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment while adhering to safety weight limits.
- Maintain accurate daily logs (DVIR) and electronic logging devices (ELD) in compliance with FMCSA regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
- Adhere strictly to company policies, traffic laws, and safety procedures at all times.
- Keep the vehicle clean and organized throughout the shift.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Willingness and ability to work rotating night shifts (10:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
- Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy loads (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet strict delivery deadlines.
- Must pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen.
- Previous experience in logistics or long-haul driving is preferred but not always required for the right candidate.
