Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks to transport goods across the Nashville metropolitan area and regional routes
- Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate delivery logs
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Coordinate with dispatch teams for efficient route optimization and on-time deliveries
- Handle specialized freight requiring temperature control or hazardous materials certification
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery and pickup interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and operate loading equipment
- Strong knowledge of Nashville-area roadways and regional geography
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Flexibility to work overnight shifts (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Basic proficiency with electronic logging devices (ELD)
