Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to deliver goods on time and in full.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance and safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo with care, adhering to weight limits and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and all necessary paperwork.
- Navigate efficiently through Los Angeles traffic during night hours to minimize delays.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status and any issues.
- Ensure the truck and cargo are secured properly for the duration of the route.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B is required.
- Clean driving record with no major violations within the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug screen and background check.
- Previous experience in night driving or logistics is strongly preferred.
- Physically capable of lifting and moving cargo (up to 50 lbs) and standing for extended periods.
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills.
