Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks safely and efficiently on designated routes in Illinois and Ohio.
- Perform comprehensive pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance.
- Load and unload cargo utilizing forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual labor as required.
- Maintain accurate records using Electronic Logging Devices (ELD) and daily logs.
- Adhere strictly to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and issues.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
- Must possess a clean driving record and current DOT medical card.
- Ability to work night shifts and maintain high levels of alertness.
- Strong understanding of traffic laws, safety procedures, and cargo handling.
- Physical stamina to lift heavy items and stand for extended periods.
- Reliable personal vehicle for commuting (if applicable).
