Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks to transport goods across designated routes in Florida and surrounding states
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation per DOT regulations
- Collaborate with dispatch team to optimize delivery schedules and resolve route issues
- Load/unload cargo with precision using forklifts and pallet jacks when required
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols and defensive driving techniques
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members during all delivery operations
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions during overnight shifts
- Pass federal background check and drug screening
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELD) and GPS navigation
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and operate loading equipment
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
- Knowledge of Florida highway systems and weather conditions
