Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers to deliver freight on time and within budget.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and report any maintenance needs.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment while maintaining cargo integrity.
- Manage electronic logging device (ELD) accurately and comply with all FMCSA regulations and hours of service.
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance while interacting with customers and the public.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies at all times.
- Report any accidents, incidents, or mechanical issues immediately to dispatch.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B (depending on vehicle type).
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- A clean driving record with no serious traffic violations in the past 3-5 years.
- Ability to work flexible night shift schedules, including weekends and holidays.
- Strong time management, navigation, and problem-solving skills.
- Physical ability to lift, push, or pull cargo weighing up to 50 lbs.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
