Responsibilities
- Safely Operate Vehicles: Operate commercial trucks and tractor-trailers in a safe, legal, and efficient manner.
- Cargo Handling: Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring weight distribution and proper securing methods.
- Vehicle Inspection: Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify any mechanical issues.
- Compliance: Maintain accurate logbooks and Electronic Logging Device (ELD) records in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with dispatch, shippers, and receivers to coordinate schedules.
- Route Management: Navigate efficiently through traffic and plan routes to meet delivery deadlines.
Qualifications
- CDL License: Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License.
- Driving Record: Clean driving record with no major violations in the past 3 years.
- Experience: Proven experience in long-haul or regional truck driving.
- Availability: Must be available to work night shifts (10:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
- Documentation: Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and meet physical demands of the job.
