Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks to transport goods across Los Angeles County
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules and maintain accurate delivery logs
- Perform pre-trip inspections and report maintenance issues promptly
- Secure cargo and comply with DOT regulations and company policies
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and warehouse teams
- Navigate complex urban routes efficiently using GPS and mapping tools
- Maintain clean driving record and follow all traffic laws
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Strong knowledge of Los Angeles geography and traffic patterns
- Flexibility to work overnight shifts (10 PM - 6 AM)
- DOT medical certification and ability to pass background check
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Basic mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting minor issues
